Cathedral Falls, located near the town of Gauley Bridge, West Virginia, 35 miles east of Charleston, flows freely after spring rains or winter snow melts. But in the summer months the falls slow to a trickle and usually dry up completely without frequent storms. The drop is over 60 feet, makiing this one of the highest falls in West Virginia.
